I wasn’t exactly planning on taking this shot but fortunately I had my camera close by when I saw the cat approaching. Small softbox camera left with speedlite at 1/4 power. Shot at 200 iso, f9 at 1/50 (for fill).

Kids are goofy. That makes them the most funnest, if not the most difficult subjects.

Yeah, this is a bit morbid but it made a hell of a funny ad that went straight past the client and into the garbage bin.

These photos were fun to take. A group of great musicians who write music for television and commercials called me when they needed something fun for their Christmas card. So we ripped off the Devo look and used Santa hats instead of silly plastic things the band used. The top photo is the select. The second two are outtakes.

Lighting was multiple Speedotron packs and heads with reflectors as key and umbrellas as fill. Studio was an evening parking lot blacked out by some serious watt seconds.

So I was setting up for a shoot awhile back and had our traffic manager sit in for the model. A well timed joke captured his personality nicely.
